Angola: Inflation declines further in February
Inflation dropped to 11.6% in February below January’s 12.5%. February’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate since August 2015. A strong harvest and fuel subsidies are key drivers of inflation’s continued downtrend.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down as annual average inflation dropped to 18.8% in February from 20.1% in January.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.86% from the previous month in February, accelerating from January’s 0.83% rise.
FocusEconomics panelists expect inflation to average 12.5% in 2023, which is down 0.5 percentage points from last month’s projection, and 12.3% in 2024.
