Angola: Inflation hits over two-year high in July
Consumer prices in the Luanda province increased 1.83% in July over the previous month, accelerating from the 1.70% increase recorded in June. This came on the back of notable price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages; alcoholic beverages and tobacco; and hotels, cafes and restaurants.
Inflation increased to 22.2% in July, above June’s 21.8%. July’s result was the highest inflation rate since March 2018.
