Greece: Industrial output bounces back in February

Industrial output grew 4.8% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in February (January: -0.5% yoy). February's notable rebound was largely due to faster growth in manufacturing production. In addition, electricity supply output contracted at a softer pace.

On a monthly basis, factory output rose 2.0% in seasonally-adjusted terms in February, contrasting January’s 4.1% fall. Meanwhile, annual average growth of industrial production was 9.6% in February, matching January's result.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see industrial production expanding 4.6% in 2022, which is up 0.2 percentage points from last month’s forecast. In 2023, the panel sees industrial production growth at 3.6%.
