Cyprus: Inflation continues to rise in February

Consumer prices rose 1.21% from the previous month in February, which contrasted the 0.50% drop seen in January. February’s result was mainly due to rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and clothing and footwear relative to January.

Inflation increased to 6.6% in February, above January’s 5.4%. ate since July 2008. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.7% in February (January: 3.0%).
