Exports in Denmark

Denmark - Exports
After GDP growth accelerated in sequential terms in the final quarter of 2021, underlying momentum was likely set back in Q1 and at the outset of Q2, despite the scrapping of all Covid-19 restrictions. Industrial output improved at a more moderate pace on average the first two months of the year compared to Q4, as did manufacturing conditions throughout Q1. Meanwhile, notwithstanding the ongoing tightening of the labor market, price pressures continued to build up in Q1 at rates not seen in decades. Inflation, coupled with uncertainty over the implications of the war in Ukraine, weighed heavily on consumer sentiment: It gradually deteriorated from January through April, when it fell to a record low, likely dragging spending. In other news, the country has become the first one in the world to suspend its Covid-19 vaccination program, which could resume in the fall.Denmark - Exports Data
