Vietnam: Merchandise trade deficit increases in April
Latest reading: In April, the trade balance was USD -4.0 billion, following a USD -0.7 billion reading in the previous month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD +8.8 billion.
Merchandise exports increased 22.4% in annual terms in April, coming on the back of 20.1% growth in the previous month. Merchandise imports increased 35.7% in year-on-year terms in April, following 27.8% growth in the previous month.
