Vietnam: Inflation falls to lowest level since August 2022 in March
Inflation came in at 3.4% in March, which was down from February’s 4.3%. March’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since August 2022. The reading was primarily driven by a more moderate increase in prices for food and housing. In addition, price pressures for transportation decreased at a faster rate.
Annual average inflation rose to 3.7% in March (February: 3.6%).
Finally, consumer prices fell 0.23% in March from the previous month, swinging from February’s 0.45% increase. March’s result marked the weakest reading since September 2021.
