Turkey: Inflation recedes in July
Consumer prices increased 0.58% over the previous month in July, slowing down from the 1.13% rise recorded in June. July’s result marked the softest rise in prices since March and reflected cheaper clothing and footwear, and food and non-alcoholic beverages offsetting a notable price increase for transportation.
Inflation came in at 11.8% in July, down from June’s 12.6%. Annual average inflation fell to 11.5% in July (June: 11.9%). Core inflation fell to 10.2% from the previous month’s 11.6%.
