Turkey: Consumer confidence deteriorates in June
Consumer confidence came in at 85.1 in June, down from May’s 91.1. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the 100-threshold, indicating pessimism among consumers.
The decline was chiefly driven by deteriorations in household’s views about their financial situation and the country’s over the next 12 months. Moreover, households became less likely to purchase big-ticket items over the same period.
