Thailand: Manufacturing production falls at a faster clip in June
Latest reading: Manufacturing production was down 3.1% in annual terms in June, following a 1.3% decline in the previous month. June’s reading was the weakest since November 2025.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in June softened for automotive vehicles (-11.8% on a year-on-year basis vs -8.3% in May), chemical products (-4.4% vs -2.0% in May), computer and electronic products (+0.6% vs +1.0% in May) and refined petroleum products (-8.0% vs +4.8% in May). In contrast, the reading for food products improved in June (+1.5% vs -1.6% in May).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, manufacturing output was down 2.4% in June, following a 0.5% fall in the prior month.
