Sweden: Economic sentiment eases in September
The economic tendency indicator (ETI) decreased slightly in September, easing to 119.9 from 120.6 in August, but still remained at a historically high level. Readings above 100 indicate stronger economic growth than normal, while readings below 100 indicate weaker economic growth than normal.
The slight drop was chiefly due to a fall in the manufacturing subsector’s confidence indicator. Meanwhile, the consumer confidence sub-indicator eased to 107.3 in September from 107.9 in August, while contrastingly, the business confidence sub-indicator inched up to 118.8 in September from 118.5 in the prior month.
