Spain: Merchandise trade deficit widens in March
Latest reading: In March, the trade balance was EUR -4.4 billion, following a EUR -3.3 billion reading in the prior month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to EUR -53.6 billion.
Merchandise exports rose 1.0% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in March, coming on the back of a 0.1% fall in the previous month. Merchandise imports increased 1.7% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in March, following 2.2% growth in the prior month.
