Slovenia: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since May 2022 in February
Harmonized inflation came in at 9.4% in February, down from January’s 9.9%. February’s result represented the weakest inflation rate since May 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and housing increased at a weaker pace in February, while prices for transportation grew at a faster rate.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 9.8% in February (January: 9.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 9.3% in February, from the previous month’s 10.0%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.60% in February over the previous month, swinging from January’s 0.10% fall.
