Singapore: Inflation inches up in September
Consumer prices rose 0.42% in September over the previous month, moderating from August’s 0.55% rise. September’s lower reading was mainly driven by a much softer rise in housing and utility costs compared with the previous month.
Inflation came in at 2.5% in September, up from August’s 2.4%. Annual average inflation rose to 1.4% in September (August: 1.1%). Lastly, core inflation ticked up to 2.7% in September, from the previous month’s 2.6%.
