Russia: Inflation hits highest level since October 2019 in September
Consumer prices fell 0.07% in September over the previous month, largely in line with August’s 0.04% fall. September’s result marked the sharpest decline in prices since September 2019.
Inflation came in at 3.7% in September, slightly above August’s 3.6%. September’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since October 2019. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.1% in September (August: 3.2%). Core inflation rose to 3.3% from the previous month’s 3.1%.
