Russia: Industrial output growth eases in December
Industrial output rose 6.1% compared to the same month of the previous year in December, which was a slowdown from November’s 7.6% increase. The downturn came on the back of easing manufacturing, and mining and quarrying production.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output rose at a faster rate of 1.2% in December (November: +0.7% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 5.3%, up from November’s 5.1%.
