Poland: Retail sales growth picks up pace in September
Retail sales expanded 11.1% in year-on-year terms in September, which was above August’s 10.7% increase. The reading was driven by improved furniture, radio, tv and household appliances sales. In contrast, motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales weakened.
Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth rose to 7.4% in September (August: +6.7%), coming in at an over two-year high and signaling an improving trend in the retail trade sector.
