Poland: Inflation falls to over one-year low in December
Consumer prices rose 0.10% from the previous month in December, matching November’s reading. The result largely reflected rising price pressures for transport, while prices for clothing and footwear fell from the previous month.
Inflation came in at 2.4% in December, which was down from November’s 3.0%. December’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since May 2019. Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.4% in December (November: 3.5%). Core inflation fell to 3.7% from the previous month’s 4.3%.
