Poland: Inflation drops in February
Consumer prices rose 0.50% in February over the previous month, after the 1.30% increase logged in January. Looking at the details of the release, February’s moderation came largely on the back of a softer increase in prices for housing and utilities compared to the previous month,
Inflation came in at 2.4% in February, which was down from January’s 2.6%. Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.1% in February (January: 3.3%). Core inflation edged down to 3.7% from the previous month’s 3.9%.
