Poland: Industrial output growth gains further steam in February

Industrial output grew 6.9% year-on-year in February, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), up from January’s 6.1% reading on a broad-based upturn. Firmer gains in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing output were recorded, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply recorded the smallest gain.
All told, annual average growth in industrial output inched down to 5.7% from 5.8% in January.
Poland Industrial Production Forecast
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial output to grow 4.8% in 2019, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2020, the panel sees industrial output growing 4.7%.
