Poland: Industrial production gains steam in May
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 4.1% on a year-on-year basis in May, following a 2.9% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in May improved for mining and quarrying (+32.6% in annual terms vs +21.4% in April), manufacturing (+2.5% vs +1.6% in April) and electricity, gas and utilities (+13.7% vs +12.0% in April).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production rose 1.4% in May, following a 2.3% fall in the previous month.
