Philippines: Merchandise trade deficit narrows in June
Latest reading: In June, the trade balance was USD -4.9 billion, following a USD -6.1 billion figure in the previous month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD -56.0 billion.
Merchandise exports were up 24.1% in year-on-year terms in June, coming on the back of a 8.6% increase in the prior month. June’s reading was the strongest since June 2025. Meanwhile, merchandise imports were up 19.6% in year-on-year terms in June, coming on the back of 28.2% growth in the prior month.
