Lithuania: Harmonized inflation remains steady in February
Harmonized inflation came in at 1.1% in February, unchanged from January’s result. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages plunged in February, and housing and utilities prices dropped at a faster pace. In contrast, transport prices rose at a quicker pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 6.0% in February (January: 7.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was stable, coming in at January’s 0.7% in February.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.70% in February over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.11% increase recorded in January. February’s figure marked the highest reading since September 2023.
