Lithuania: Decline in industrial output softens in February
Industrial output slid 7.0% year on year in February (January: -7.3% yoy). The smaller drop was partly due to a softer fall in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying production decelerated.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 0.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in February, contrasting January’s 0.4% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 13.6% in February, down from January’s minus 10.9%.
