Kenya: Inflation declines to lowest level since April in November
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.45% from the previous month in November, moderating from the 0.51% rise recorded in October. The softer rise was primarily due to a weaker increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for housing, utilities and other fuels moderated over the prior month.
Inflation came in at 5.8% in November, which was down from October’s 6.5%. November’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since April. Annual average inflation remained at October’s 6.4% in November.
