Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth wanes in March
Industrial output increased 3.0% compared to the same month of the previous year in March, which was a deterioration from February’s 5.7% increase. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output weakened in March, and mining and quarrying output also grew at a softer rate. Meanwhile, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output also slowed.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.7% in March, down from February’s 4.8%.
