Italy: Pace of decline in annual prices moderates in November
Consumer prices fell 0.10% month-on-month in November, contrasting October’s 0.20% increase. The figure mainly reflected lower prices for services related to transport and for services related to recreation.
Meanwhile, prices were 0.2% lower from the same month of the previous year, following October’s 0.3% year-on-year drop.
Core consumer prices, which exclude more volatile categories such as unprocessed food and energy, dipped 0.10% from the previous month in November, following October’s sharper 0.20% fall. Meanwhile, core inflation rose from 0.2% in October to 0.5% in November, while harmonized prices fell 0.3% compared the same period of 2019, following October’s 0.6% drop.
