Italy: Industrial output bounces back in December
Industrial output grew 1.6% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in December (November: -0.1% mom). The improvement was partly driven by faster growth in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying output fell.
On an annual basis, factory output rebounded, rising 0.1% in December (November: -3.4% yoy). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.4% in December (November: +0.8%), which marked an over one-year low.
