Ireland: Consumer sentiment decreases in March

Consumer sentiment fell to 53.9 in March from February’s 55.6.

Consumers became more pessimistic about the current economy, future unemployment, their finances over the past 12 months, and their spending intentions, driving the decline in the index. More positively, consumers became more upbeat about the economy and their finances a year ahead.
