Hungary: Economic sentiment continues to improve in June
The GKI economic sentiment index, a composite indicator, rose to minus 20.5 in June from minus 28.1 in May. June’s reading largely reflected an improvement in business sentiment amid ameliorating industrial expectations.
Business confidence increased to minus 16.2 in June from minus 24.5 in May driven by less pessimistic sentiment across all sectors, with the services sector the least downbeat.
Consumer confidence rose to minus 32.8 in June from minus 38.5 in the previous month as households’ appraisal of their personal financial turned less downbeat.
