Guatemala: Inflation hits near nine-year high in November
Consumer prices increased 0.55% in November over the previous month, decelerating from the 1.06% rise recorded in October. November’s downtick came on the back of a softer increase rent prices and a small drop in the price level of clothing.
Inflation edged up to 5.5% in November, slightly above October’s 5.3%. November’s figure was the highest inflation rate since December 2011. Annual average inflation rose to 3.1% in November (October: 3.1%).
