Greece: Industrial output drops again in December
Industrial production dropped 1.4% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in December (November: -1.1% yoy). Looking at the details of the release, the decrease in electricity supply output worsened markedly, that said, manufacturing output rose at a quicker pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial output grew 0.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in December, which was below November’s 1.0% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over one-year low of 2.3% in December, down from November’s 3.1% reading.
