France: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since August 2008 in November
Consumer prices rose 0.36% over the previous month in November, a smaller increase than the 0.41% increase seen in October. November’s lower reading was largely attribute to softer price pressures for energy. Meanwhile, prices for services and food products increased in November.
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.4% in November, up from October’s 3.2%. November’s result represented the highest inflation rate since August 2008. Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 1.8% in November (October: 1.5%). Finally, consumer price inflation ticked up to 2.8% in November, from October’s 2.6%.
