France: Harmonized inflation increases in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 1.6% in October, which was up from September’s 1.4%. The rise was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 2.7% in October (September: 2.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 1.2% in October from the previous month’s 1.1%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.32% over the previous month in October, contrasting September’s 1.30% fall.
