France: Industrial output grows at fastest pace since January in June
Industrial production increased 1.4% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in June (May: +0.2% mom). The print marked the best result since January. The rise was partly driven by faster growth in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining and quarrying production weakened.
On an annual basis, industrial output rebounded, rising 1.4% in June (May: -0.3% yoy). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 0.6%, down from May’s 1.0% reading.
