France: Business confidence stable in June
June 24, 2021
Business confidence came in at 107 in June, matching May’s reading, which had marked an over two-and-a-half-year high. Consequently, the index remained above the 100-threshold, its long-term average.
With regard to demand, firms’ general production expectations improved in June, while their personal production expectations weakened somewhat. Meanwhile, their perception of export order books, as well as overall order books turned less pessimistic. Lastly, employment intentions strengthened compared to the previous month.
