France: Business confidence rises in June
Business confidence came in at 107.6 in June, up from May’s 106.3. As a result, the index moved further above the 100-threshold—its long-term average—indicating stronger optimism among businesses.
The headline print largely reflected improved sentiment with regard to new orders. Moreover, firms’ production expectations and projected workforce size over the coming months improved slightly compared with the previous month. Lastly, despite improving in June, general economic uncertainty remained well above its long-run average.
