Finland: Monthly economic activity growth dips in April
Economic activity expanded 0.7% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in April, which followed March’s 1.2% increase. The moderation largely reflected weaker activity in the secondary sector and services sector sectors. However, the primary sector—which includes the agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing subsectors—gained steam.
On an annual basis, economic activity rose at a softer pace of 1.3% in April (March: +1.6% yoy). Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 1.4% in April, down from March’s 1.7% reading.
