Ecuador: Inflation hits highest level since May 2017
Consumer prices increased 1.00% from the previous month in April, accelerating from the 0.20% rise seen in March. April’s figure marked the sharpest monthly increase in prices since September 2012 and largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation came in at 1.0% in April, up from March’s 0.2%. April’s figure was the highest inflation rate since May 2017. Annual average inflation ticked up to 0.3% in April (March: 0.2%).
