Dominican Republic: Economic activity speeds up in June
Latest reading: Economic activity was up 6.4% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 4.7% rise in the prior month. June’s reading was the strongest since April 2024. According to preliminary data, the improvement was driven by stronger growth in mining, construction and services, while agriculture and local manufacturing lost steam.
In month-on-month terms, economic activity increased 0.3% in June, following a 1.2% rise in the previous month.
