Denmark: Economic sentiment drops in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 88.5 in October, following September’s 92.1. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In October, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-18.0 vs -13.1 in September), the services sector (+7.6 vs +8.6 in September) and the retail sector (+1.7 vs +5.8 in September). On the flipside, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-8.9 vs -9.9 in September) and among consumers (-12.8 vs -14.5 in September).
