Denmark: Business sentiment in the industrial sector worsens in March
Business confidence among firms in the industrial sector dipped to minus 7 points in March from minus 4 points in February,. The more pessimistic result was mainly due to firms’ less optimistic view on output expectations.
Turning to other sectors, sentiment among the construction sector decreased, sentiment in the service sector swung from optimistic to pessimistic, while the retail sector’s outlook improved slightly in March compared to the previous month.
Looking ahead, the Covid-19 fallout will likely keep sentiment in the industrial sector depressed, due to weaker domestic activity and a slump in foreign demand.
