Denmark: Business sentiment falls to four-month low in August
Business sentiment in the industrial sector deteriorated in August, dropping to a four-month low of minus 7.0, down from July’s minus 5.0. As such, the index remained moved further below the 0-point threshold, signaling starker pessimism among Danish businesses in the industrial sector.
Looking at the details of the release, August’s deterioration was due to firms’ views regarding order backlog becoming more pessimistic. Moreover, optimism with regard to stocks of finished goods and production expectations eased.
