Denmark: Business confidence stable in February
Business sentiment was unchanged at January’s minus 15.0 in February. As such, the index remained entrenched below the 0-point threshold, signaling sustained pessimism among Danish businesses.
Looking at the details of the release, February’s outturn was chiefly due to firms’ views with regard to stocks of finished goods becoming more optimistic, and views regarding production expectations becoming markedly less pessimistic. These developments counterbalanced firms’ more pessimistic assessment with regard to order backlog.
