Denmark: Business confidence inches down in January
Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector fell to minus 3 in January from December’s minus 2. As a result, the index moved further away from the 0-point threshold, indicating pessimism among businesses.
Moreover, confidence in the construction sector decreased mildly to minus 6 in January from December’s minus 5, while firms in the services sector became more pessimistic with sentiment coming in at minus 11 from December’s minus 8. Lastly, sentiment in the retail sector fell to 0 in January from December’s 10 as firms turned pessimistic about the expected revenue.
