Czech Republic: Inflation declines to lowest level since December 2021 in June
Inflation came in at 9.7% in June, which was down from May’s 11.1%. June’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since December 2021. Looking at the details of the release, prices for housing and utilities grew at a weaker rate in June, although prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages were largely in line with the previous month’s reading.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 15.1% in June (May: 15.8%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.34% over the previous month in June, picking up from the 0.27% increase recorded in May. June’s uptick was the highest reading since February.
