Czech Republic: Industrial output rebounds in January
Industrial output increased 1.0% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in January (December: -1.6% yoy). The notable pickup was partly driven by an improvement in manufacturing output growth. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output fell.
On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 3.1% in seasonally-adjusted terms in January, rebounding from December’s 2.7% fall. Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 6.7%, up from December’s 6.6% reading.
