Czech Republic: Economic sentiment rises in April
The economic sentiment indicator, published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), rose to 97.2 in April from 93.9 in March.
The business confidence index rose to 98.0 from March’s 95.2. The result came on the back of stronger sentiment in all sectors, and in industry to the greater extent.
Additionally, consumer sentiment increased in April, with the index falling to 92.9 from 87.1 in March. The increase reflected households’ declining concerns over the economic situation and their own financial situations and a stronger willingness to buy big-ticket items.
