Croatia: Inflation hits over-year high in March
Consumer prices rose 1.07% from the previous month in March, accelerating from the 0.29% rise tallied in February and logging was the sharpest increase in prices two years. March’s upturn was largely driven by higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for housing and utilities.
Inflation came in at 1.2% in March, above February’s 0.3% reading. March’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since February 2020. Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged with the annual average variation of consumer prices coming in at February’s minus 0.1% in March.
