Croatia: Inflation remains stable in August
Inflation came in at 12.3% in August, matching July’s result. Prices for food rose at a softer pace. In addition, price pressures for transportation declined at a faster rate.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.8% in August (July: 7.1%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation edged down to 12.6% in August, from the previous month’s 12.7%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.17% in August over the previous month, slowing down from the 0.43% increase seen in July. August’s result marked the weakest reading since December 2021.
